"Last year’s participants introduced us to this program, and since our school didn’t offer a dedicated AP environmental science class, we didn’t feel we had an advantage. When we emailed the organizers for guidance, they advised us to find clues in our daily lives. So, our team decided to develop a better campus waste management plan. After selecting the topic, we sought help from teachers in chemistry and other subjects, dedicating time to study and research. The importance of team roles can’t be overstated! Compared to activities I participated in during my first year of high school, this experience was invaluable for my independent thinking and logical reasoning."
